RT @Jeff21461: 🇺🇸 The USA will receive its first M1E3 Abrams Main Battle Tank before the end of the year, with the goal of having a full platoon of them by the end of 2026.
The E3 model will be "substantially different" from earlier iterations of the Abrams introducing a suite of new "new defensive capabilities and other advanced technologies".
The tank is also expected to come with major fuel savings through the introduction of a new hybrid electric drivetrain powered by a Caterpillar engine and SAPA transmission.
