RT @deaidua: The Russian military managed to destroy another decoy of an IRIS-T SLM launcher somewhere “deep behind enemy lines” in #Ukraine. There are various indicators proving that this is only a decoy. Just to mention two:

1) After the strike — which is not even shown as it would be another proof of this being a decoy — you can clearly see that the cabin is made of some metal frame and plywood.

2) Also very visible after the strike is a tow hook at the very front which is used to tow the decoy into place (hence the truck shown at 00:20).

PS: Even if it would be a real launcher, it's not worth $50 million like claimed by the Russian propaganda machine.

RT @ukraine_frontup: ⚔️ Zelensky on Pokrovsk:
“The situation is difficult, but there are no significant changes. Our defenders are gradually destroying the occupiers — the priority is to preserve our personnel.”

🇷🇺 Around 170,000 Russian troops are concentrated in the Pokrovsk sector. Zelensky emphasized there is no encirclement, and Ukrainian commanders “perfectly understand that encirclement must not be allowed.”

💬 SBU head Malyuk:
“Our defenders are working mega-effectively. The enemy has been claiming for over a year they’ll ‘take Pokrovsk any day now’ — in reality, they’ve advanced only 7 km and lost tens of thousands.”

Pokrovsk remains one of the fiercest battles — a fight where Russia bleeds men, and Ukraine preserves strength.

RT @deaidua: @ZelenskyyUa: Yesterday, I publicly stated that the deliveries were nearing completion, and today, just one day later, official confirmation has come from the Ukrainian President. The two MIM-104 Patriot fire units from Bundeswehr stocks pledged in August have been delivered to #Ukraine! https://twitter.com/ZelenskyyUa/status/1984991606496281077#m

RT @deaidua: A small but important update on the subject of Lynx IFVs and #Ukraine. Rheinmetall CEO Papperger announced in an interview with @loyalmagazin (published yesterday) that funding for production in Ukraine is still missing, and a corresponding contract has not yet been signed.

Building a factory in Ukraine would only make sense if at least 200 to 300 vehicles were to be built there. According to Papperger, Rheinmetall is currently building five Lynx IFVs in Germany for Ukraine – these are most likely still test vehicles (as it was originally announced to supply ten of them to Ukraine) – but that's it.

Upon enquiry, I was told that the interview was conducted two weeks ago. So around the same time when many accounts here were widely announcing that Ukraine had chosen the Lynx. Just to put things into perspective regarding the actual and current status of the project.

Seems like things are slowly moving — agreement on...

RT @WarintheFuture: Recently, I returned from my second 2025 visit to Ukraine. It was, as always, both enlightening & inspiring to spend time with Ukrainian military personnel who are innovating & fighting to keep Ukraine free. I published several articles while in #Ukraine, linked below. In this long-ish thread, I cover drone operations. 1/20 🧵🇺🇦

RT @deaidua: My latest piece → For a few months now, arms deliveries to #Ukraine by Germany are for the most part classified, but a Facebook post by the 33rd Assault Regiment suggests that they may have recently received new infantry fighting vehicles from Germany.

RT @deaidua: This morning, the Bundestag’s Budget Committee approved an additional €3 billion for Germany’s military #Ukraine assistance for 2026, bringing the total to €11.5 billion. According to media reports, the additional funding is to be spent on artillery, drones and armoured vehicles.

As every year, however, part of the total funding will also be spent on other means, like replacing equipment for the German Bundeswehr which was given to Ukraine from Bundeswehr stocks at an earlier time.

In addition to an already high sum (certainly a high three-digit million sum at least), a small portion of the €3 billion will therefore also be invested in the re-purchase of two MIM-104 Patriot fire units, which Germany recently delivered to Ukraine.

The final approval of the entire 2026 federal budget is planned for the end of November. Afterwards, the Bundesrat must also give its approval, but I consider both steps to be a mere formality, which is why I am already reporting on this now.

RT @deaidua: As part of Rheinmetall's CMD 2025 presentation, Rheinmetall CEO Armin Papperger has just announced that the first Skyranger 35 SPAAG mounted on the Leopard 1 chassis will be delivered to #Ukraine as early as next week.

As known since the 9th of September, Rheinmetall will deliver Skyranger 35 SPAAGs mounted on the Leopard 1 chassis to #Ukraine as part of a three-digit million sum contract which is paid for by an unnamed EU country through the windfall profits from frozen Russian assets.

RT @deaidua: The Chilean media El Mostrador reports based on multiple sources that the Chilean government has agreed to sell 30 Marder 1A3 IFVs from army stocks to Germany as part of a new Ringtausch. Germany would (most likely) deliver the Marder 1A3 IFVs to #Ukraine and provide Chile with “access to anti-aircraft defence equipment” in return.

No further details have been announced and neither the Chilean nor German governments have officially confirmed the reporting.

As of today, Germany has already delivered 140 Marder 1A3 IFVs to Ukraine and pledged to deliver another 25. Considering that 30 would be obtained from Chile and 25 are known to have been publicly pledged, this would of course make sense. However, the plan was to complete the delivery in the first half of the year, i.e. more than four months ago.

It is unclear when the deal between Germany and Chile – if it exists – was concluded and whether the 30 IFVs from Chile are planned...

RT @deaidua: Since I keep getting asked about reports claiming Chancellor Merz confirmed a planned Taurus delivery to #Ukraine or other long-range missile transfers, I want to clarify what was actually said — and what he meant. All details below.

Let us first address the source of these reports. The source – often misquoted or false interpreted, of course – is a joint press conference held by Merz and Swedish Prime Minister Kristersson on the 19th of November 2025 in Berlin. Both the full question from the Swedish reporter and the full answer given by Merz can be watched again via the attached video. I translated the segment for you and added English subtitles.

Let's move on to the actual content. Basically, Merz did not confirm a Taurus delivery to Ukraine, nor did he even hint at it. All he did was repeat what had already been discussed and officially confirmed for many months. Germany is financing the production of far-reaching weapon systems...
