RT @Jeff21461: 🇺🇦🇪🇺 An unnamed European state has awarded a contract to Rheinmetall to deliver Leopard 1 main battle tanks equipped with the Skyranger 35 anti-aircraft turret to Ukraine.
The contract is said to be worth a "three-digit million-euro" sum which will be financed through the proceeds on frozen Russian assets.
Personal note: I expect this to be about 20-25 vehicles built on the leftover Leopard 1A5BE hulls that RHM has in storage after needing to strip their turrets for spare parts.

@GatisSmagars @exit266: I'm a bit late but: A key aspect with the Norwegian programs is not to buy a lot of something for storage, but to gain experience and be a part of the evolution of these systems.
Some Norwegian requirements, such as coping with weather, are probably different than in other countries.
Working together with industry is how one moves forward. The Armed Forces can't enter this field on their own.

He then flew to Israel and is currently in the country.
US Central Command confirmed the IDF had completed the first phase of the withdrawal early day which allowed the Ceasefire to go in effect at 12 PM Local time, according to Special Envoy Witkoff.
US troops who specialize in logistics and engineering began arriving in Israel to set up a civil military command center to oversee the ceasefire.
