Voenkor Kotenok: "Very convenient. 'Peacemaker' Trump - that's what he is. About to win the Nobel Prize tomorrow."
Dva Majora: "Dmitry Medvedev is in euphoria. He became the first person in the world whose post on the Internet set nuclear submarines in motion."
Voevoda Veshaet: "Looks like he wants to see our submarines at the Statue of Liberty..."

@Maks_NAFO_FELLA: The 2 nuclear submarines were likely already near Russia, and there is likely much more than that. However, Russia knows that the US will not nuke Russia, these are just words. When is Trump going to impose serious sanctions on Russia and send Ukraine military aid?

@Shivak03 @Capt_Navy: I have a hunch Trump is referring to SSNs, not about changing the strategic nuclear posture, and the presence of USN SSNs in "appropriate regions" is part of the normal.

@Shivak03 @Capt_Navy: Increasing the number of SSBNs at sea might trigger a Russian response, i.e posture changes, but it's not given. Depends on how the Russians interpret the overall picture.
When we had a period of heightened Russian strategic nuclear forces activity around the invasion, the Americans didn't respond in kind, but rather scaled down planned activities. The French did otherwise though.

RT @John_A_Ridge: This estimate aligns with the figures cited by Rubio a few weeks ago. So I assume they are derived from a U.S. IC product.
Since January, Russia has potentially suffered ~14 KIA for every Ukrainian KIA. Absolutely insane casualty ratio https://twitter.com/KyleJGlen/status/1951314031198769163#m

@Shivak03 @Capt_Navy: We have a wildcard in the White House which makes it difficult to predict how a potential crisis would unfold.
I don't think we are in crisis territory yet though and more likely than not, it will blow over.

@ukraine_map @Maks_NAFO_FELLA: There was a lot of nuclear posturing by the US in 2022, and after 2022. That didn’t stop Russia from invading Ukraine, neither did it stop them from escalating.
The only way Russia changes is if both serious economic harm is caused to them, as well as significant amounts of weapons funded and sent by both the US and Europe, much larger in amount than at any previous point in the war, and over a course of more than a year or years, and must include consistent deep missile strikes using US missiles and European missiles on targets inside Russia launched by Ukraine.
Until that happens, all these social media posts, words, and threats exchanged by both sides will not cause Russia to stop the war and will not lead Ukraine to be successful.
