If he actually made this statement, this would mean that two of the four IRIS-T SLM fire units pledged for this year would have been delivered to Ukraine by the end of July, as the first one was delivered at the end of May 2025 or beginning of June 2025 to the 540th Anti-Aircraft Missile Brigade (Image).

We commend the leadership of the Austrian company Roithner Lasertechnik GmbH for its swift and responsible response in severing ties with a Hong Kong intermediary supplying components to TRV-Engineering, a subsidiary of Russia’s Tactical Missile Corporation.

According to a statement from Roithner Lasertechnik, the company was misled by a customer based in Hong Kong. On Tuesday, July 22, following multiple media inquiries and a more in-depth internal review, Roithner discovered that the buyer – United Electronics Group Company Limited – had already been sanctioned by the U.S. Treasury in December 2023 for its role in sanctions evasion and continued dealings with Russian entities.

Unlikely that Ukraine received an additional PATRIOT battery from the Bundeswehr, but the ex-IDF battery, undergoing refurb, had still been due for delivery. I suspect that is the source of this additional battery.
