RT @deaidua: According to the German Ministry of Defence, the 30 M-84 MBTs that were part of the German-Croatian Ringtausch had all been delivered to #Ukraine shortly before Christmas 2024. This is therefore either an additional delivery or a false report. https://twitter.com/VladimirIv31750/status/1919759934842966459#m

RT @deaidua: Various media outlets have been reporting since yesterday that Germany has provided #Ukraine with a new military aid package. These are (unintentional) fake news! With this tweet I would like to explain how this happened.

With the change in government, the federal government's website has of course also been updated. Links on the website have been brought up to date, old content archived and a few other things. For some reason that I cannot explain, the date of the list of military support was also changed from the 17th of April to the 6th of May in this process.

Of course, if you look at the list now, it looks as if the latest deliveries of military material just have been made public. In reality, the weapons systems and ammunition highlighted are the same ones that were made public on the 17th of April 2025.

If you check the systems and ammunition as well as the given amounts with the tweet pinned on my profile you will see...

RT @deaidua: The New York Times reports, with reference to a US congressional source, that the USA has authorised the transfer of 125 long-range artillery rockets (for MARS II, M142 HIMARS etc.) and 100 Patriot interceptors from Germany to #Ukraine.

Only recently, at a meeting in Brussels, Minister of Defence Boris Pistorius announced that 30 Patriot missiles from Bundeswehr stocks would be made available to Ukraine at short notice.

RT @deaidua: It looks like I need to clear up a few false assumptions that have developed in connection with the decision to not disclose Germany's military aid to #Ukraine in the future anymore.

1) That means the Taurus is coming!
Wrong. This decision has nothing to do with Taurus. I know numerous examples in which the former government has either financed or already delivered equipment that was never made public (for example, at the request of the end customer in Ukraine) or assistance was at least announced but never included in the official list of the federal government.

The new government under Merz could have handled a Taurus delivery in exactly the same way — without any problems. Simply not announce it and that's that.

You don't have to reduce transparency to zero in order to hide a delivery. When a delivery has happened, we will know it anyways due to Ukrainian attacks on targets which haven't been attacked before or due to...

RT @WorldAffairsPro: #BREAKING With Moscow’s unilateral ceasefire ending almost half of #Ukraine - including Kyiv - is under air raid alerts. Already more than 20 UAVs over Ukraine, UA media reporting

RT @deaidua: Government spokesperson Stefan Kornelius said at today's government press conference that Germany is prepared to support #Ukraine in the area of “long-range fires”, i.e. cruise missiles with a certain range. Decisions on this will be prepared and made in the coming days.

RT @deaidua: Yesterday, the UDI (@ukroboronprom) and Rheinmetall (@RheinmetallAG) signed a new Memorandum of Cooperation on the possibility of establishing another joint venture in the field of artillery production in #Ukraine.

Already in February 2024, both companies signed a first Memorandum of Understanding with the goal of establishing a joint venture for the production of artillery shells in Ukraine. The plan is to start operations in 2026 and produce significantly more than 150,000 155mm artillery shells per year.

RT @deaidua: Well, now it's official. The new German government just deleted their official list of military aid provided to #Ukraine which it had maintained since mid-2022. The English version is still online, but I assume it will also be deleted in a few minutes.

As recently as Monday, a spokesperson for the German Ministry of Defence announced that the government would continue to announce what it supplies to Ukraine. However, details such as quantities will no longer be announced. Well...

I would like to take this opportunity once again to refer to my website, which is more comprehensive than the government website anyway 👇

RT @deaidua: More than two weeks ago, a larger column of at least 18 Cheetah SPAAGs without insignia was spotted by one of my followers (@SpassovVladimir) in Eastern Germany. It can be assumed that the train was travelling eastwards to #Ukraine.

Up to 60 Cheetah SPAAGs (Dutch version of the Gepard SPAAG) were bought back from Jordan by the US (up to 45) and Germany (15). However, the at least 18 SPAAGs visible in the images exceed the remaining pledges made by Germany, so in my opinion this should either be a mixed delivery (Germany and the US) or a pure US delivery.

OPSEC disclaimer: I waited more than two full weeks before publishing the images to preserve OPSEC. This is more than enough time to bring the equipment to Ukraine, distribute it to the units and for them to be already using the equipment.

I also want to point out, that Gepard SPAAGs and Cheetah SPAAGs are being used far away from the front line to defend cities, military...

RT @deaidua: BREAKING: Chancellor Merz has just announced that Germany will fund a significant portion of the Starlink coverage in #Ukraine, and the Ministers of Defence of both countries will today sign a Memorandum of Understanding (!) with the goal to procure far-reaching Ukrainian-made weapons systems for the defence of Ukraine.

RT @deaidua: My latest piece → As a publication on the Bundeswehr website shows, the deployment of the RCH 155 in #Ukraine now appears to have been significantly delayed for the second time. The reasons for the delays are not publicly known.

RT @deaidua: I'm back home and have now had some time to analyse today's announcements regarding military assistance for #Ukraine and give my assessment. I have five points I want to talk (in detail) about.

1) IRIS-T
Firstly, I would like to comment on IRIS-T (SLM) and start with a disclaimer. The Ukrainian-German translation provided by the German MoD spoke of spare parts for IRIS-T, whereas none of the articles I read spoke of this, but referred to deliveries of complete fire units. I will therefore simply give an assessment of both to be on the safe side.

According to the Ukrainian President, deliveries are secured for the next three years. That would be 2027 or 2028 (depending on whether the current year is included).

In the case of the fire units, this would not really be a surprise. At present, Germany has delivered 6 fire units to Ukraine and has pledged to deliver another 14 (!). Of the 14 pledged, 4 are to be delivered this year...

RT @deaidua: #Ukraine recently received their 7th IRIS-T SLM fire unit from Germany! The 540th Anti-Aircraft Missile Brigade announced on their Facebook page, that they recently received their first IRIS-T SLM fire unit and destroyed seven Russian cruise missiles during their first operation.

Unless the fire unit was transferred from another unit (which is highly unlikely) this is a confirmation of the delivery of the 7th IRIS-T SLM fire unit. Another 13 of them are still pledged, of which 3 are planned to be delivered this year in addition to the one already delivered.
