It can still get much, much worse. Lots of panicked chatter about the increasing likelihood of a year-long CR could be heard today at the AFA Warfare Symposium.
Combined with the pause on aid to Ukraine, it's an unmitigated disaster for the defense industrial base. https://twitter.com/Noahpinion/status/1896725214379339859#m
