@Brian_Castner @elliotackerman: I think FPVs started partially as a way to compensate for a lack of artillery, ATGMs, and other ammunition, but they are a critical arm now. They still have weaknesses, but the advantages are significant now. I think we should be adopting them and figuring out how to incorporate them into our force structure.

@Brian_Castner @elliotackerman: I don't know how fast the technology will develop, but FPVs are cheap, relatively lightweight, accurate, and significantly outrange the current weapon systems in an infantry battalion. I think they would be a quite useful addition at the tactical level. We can likely make them easier to fly with relatively cheap improvements to the software.
