"Officials from the State Bureau of Investigation (SBI), in cooperation with the Security Service of Ukraine (SBU), have detained two former generals and a colonel on suspicion of negligence that enabled Russian forces to seize part of the territory of Kharkiv Oblast in May 2024.
Quote from SBI: 'The former commanders of Operational Tactical Group Kharkiv, the 125th Separate Brigade of Territorial Defence and the 415th Separate Rifle Battalion of the 23rd Separate Mechanised Brigade, demonstrated negligent attitudes towards military service, allowing the Russian Federation troops to seize part of the territory of Lyptsi rural territorial hromada of the Kharkiv district [a hromada is an administrative unit designating a village, several villages, or a town, and their adjacent territories – ed.].'"

• On January 13-19, 15 Russian drones of the Shahed type were detected in Belarus’ airspace. The destruction of the drones by the Belarusian Armed Forces was not reported.
• On January 14-16, a joint staff training of the Joint Command of the regional group of troops was held in Minsk. The training was part of preparations for the West-2025 drills to be held in September 2025 in Belarus.
• State tests of the Volat V2 armored personnel carrier prototype are being completed. It’s planned to start serial production of the vehicle in the near future.
• The number of citizens who evaded conscription for compulsory military service reached 1,300 in Hrodna region. Almost all of these conscripts are abroad.

• An inspection of radio-technical systems was conducted at Machulishchy airfield using the An-26KPA calibration aircraft.
