I strongly doubt the Russians will sign any kind of agreement that includes a Western presence in Ukraine, which would have to be substantial, as things stand today.
A unilateral Western deployment might be what's required but it won't be risk free and will require real courage

The POW in tweet 3-5 has a🇷🇺military ID issued in the name of a man from the Republic of Tuva (RU). Reportedly the POW says it was issued in Ru in fall 24 during initial training.

Facing China isn't purely about military might but also political capital, economics and industry.

@einarvollset @ElbridgeColby: While China is the US main strategic adversary, Russia will remain a serious challenge and they are an Asia-Pacific nation too, seeing the US as their main enemy. And we have North Koreans fighting in Europe now. Everything is connected.
Use of the stick to foster change in Europe needs to be done wisely, or else we risk getting worse off on both sides of the Atlantic.
