Update on this case: (1) the agent made a mistake & misrepresented Airbnb’s new policy, but (2) Airbnb has actually banned transactions in rubles, regardless of location. So, to sum up, being Russian/Belarusian is okay so long as you’re outside Russia/Belarus, but rubles aren’t. https://t.co/YN7UT8aLMI

We are also informed that some users face problems with booking outside of Belarus as well. So the problem is still not fixed. In particular, we know a case when a person, who was in Georgia, had a failed booking of an apartment there.

At the moment, people may have problems when booking from a Belarusian IP-address, but just turn on VPN and booking must work. Payments in rubles will fail. At the same time, you may also face difficulties when booking from other countries – the problem still remains.
