🇺🇸🇪🇬 The US State Department has approved a possible Foreign Military Sale to Egypt of 759 Advanced Precision Kill Weapon Systems (APKWS), plus associated equipment and services, for an estimated cost of $30 million. This is an amendment to an existing case that was below the Congressional notification threshold.
These will equip the Egyptian Air Force's Apache attack helicopters.
APKWS unit cost is estimated to be ~$26,000.
The prime contractor would be @BAESystemsInc.

AMRAAM unit cost is ~$1 million & SDB unit cost is ~$50,000.
The prime contractors would be @RTX_News & @BoeingDefense, respectively.

The prime contractor for the MIDS JTRS will be determined by competitive process, the gun mounts are a sale from USG stocks.
