🇺🇸🇳🇴 The US State Department has approved a possible Foreign Military Sale to Norway of 8001 M1156A1 Precision Guidance Kits Fuzes, plus associated equipment and services for an estimated cost of $130 million.
PGK replaces the standard fuze of unguided 155mm artillery shells and turns them into precision guided munitions. Unit cost is ~$8000.
The prime contractor would be @NGCNews.
"The description and dollar value are for the highest estimated quantity and dollar value based on initial requirements. Actual dollar value will be lower depending on final requirements, budget authority, and signed sales agreement(s), if and when concluded."
