The existence of a likely nuclear capable IRBM, confirmed through experimental combat use, does however deserve attention.
It shows that the decision to deploy long range US missiles to Germany, as announced this summer, was right.

While I'd rather see significant investment in conventional capabilities and whole of society resilience, incl civil defense, than embarking on a very expensive journey towards new nuclear systems in NATO, a modern Dual Track discussion might be warranted.

I'm not an arms control person per se, but few treaties have increased the security and survivability in Europe more than INF.
That treaty is dead, arms control likely won't return for a long time, so showing strength is the order of the day.
