Immediately two communication cables were damaged in the Baltic Sea. First one between Finland and Germany. Second between Sweden and Lithuania.
Finland-German cable is believed to have broken due to an external force such as anchoring or bottom trawling. The cable is almost 1,200 kilometers long and runs near the Nord Stream gas pipeline. It’s the only one between Finland and Central Europe. https://www.is.fi/kotimaa/art-2000010841880.html
Sweden-Lithuania cable was cut on Sunday morning, at around 10:00. The systems immediately reported that. 🇺🇲🇬🇧 The US State Department has approved a possible Foreign Military Sale to the United Kingdom of 46 Tactical Combat Training System Increment II (TCTS II) air combat training systems, plus associated equipment and services for an estimated cost of $70 million.
The prime contractors would be Collins Aerospace and Leonardo DRS.
"The description and dollar value are for the highest estimated quantity and dollar value based on initial requirements. Actual dollar value will be lower depending on final requirements, budget authority, and signed sales agreement(s), if and when concluded."
