If this is true, Ukraine just needs to tell Biden to shove it at this point. ATACMS are of limited utility without being part of larger complex raids with cruise missiles like Storm Shadow/SCALP-EG, and vice versa.

NEW: The White House is continuing to block the use of the UK made firepower despite giving the greenlight for their own ATACMS to be used on limited strikes on Russian territory.

🇺🇸Announced late on Friday night in the hopes that nobody would notice: The Department of Defense failed to achieve a clean audit opinion for the 7th year straight.
While they continue to make improvements in their financial management practices, doing the Friday night news dump undermines that message and creates further doubt in transparency at the Pentagon.

RT @konrad_muzyka: Russian missile strikes in context. The Sunday attack was the largest since 29.12.2023 (122 vs 120 missiles) and the second largest since September 2022. Although the overall interception rate was high (Kyiv claimed 85%), some missiles hit critical power infrastructure targets, which forced Ukrainians to implement "stabilization blackouts" in the most affected areas, primarily in Kyiv, Kyiv Oblast, Dnipropetrovsk Oblast, Donetsk Oblast, and Odesa Oblast. More importantly, Ukraine’s largest private energy company, DTEK, said its thermal energy plants had suffered “significant damage”, which will likely have long-term consequences for the grid and Ukraine's power generation capacity.
It remains to be seen whether this is the start of the third missile campaign aimed at the Ukrainian power grid, but given previous Russian behavior, it is likely that these strikes will continue. Intensity and regularity are big questions. The chart...

RT @deaidua: Today, we got new details regarding the 4,000 loitering munitions that Germany pledged to Ukraine several months ago. Minister of Defence Boris Pistorius has now confirmed to BILD that the pledged drones are HX-2 Karma, which will be provided by Helsing.
According to Helsing, the drone can also operate under GNSS-denied conditions and is “swarm capable” thanks to the Altra Recce-Strike software. This means that several HX-2 Karma can be operated simultaneously. Integrated AI software enables the autonomous identification and engagement of targets.
Helsing states that the HX-2 Karma has a range of 100 kilometres and is precise to within 50 cm, at a price significantly below that of other loitering ammunition such as Switchblade 600 or Zala Lancet. Specs which, incidentally, are doubted in some industry circles.
According to BILD, the first delivery of hundreds of units will take place in December and will then be made on a regular basis.

❗🇺🇲🇩🇪 @MBDADeutschland has broken ground on the expansion of their facility in Schrobenhausen, Bavaria, which will produce the 1000 PAC-2 GEM-T missiles that are on contract from NATO.
It will also produce PARM anti-tank mines and Enforcer anti-tank missiles.
Construction will be completed in Sept 2026. https://twitter.com/ColbyBadhwar/status/1798796638011658539#m

Neptune is not a very good missile, but hopefully they have been able to meaningfully improve it. Certainly better than nothing and Ukraine needs diverse long range precision fires options in order to successfully penetrate Russian air & missile defense networks. https://twitter.com/DefenceU/status/1858555251772846351#m

@casualdiot @bayraktar_1love: Only NYT suggested that there was a hard limitation. The others either said nothing or suggested that Kursk would be a starting point.
