@ge84597854 @chasflemming: The money is used to replace equipment in Department of Defense inventory that has been sent to Ukraine but needed to be replaced anyway. If it wasn't given to Ukraine then there would be no money to buy that new replacement equipment and you'd be fighting China with old junk.

@LarsUllern86: Neither ATACMS or GMLRS have a seeker for terminal guidance against ships or any other moving targets. ATACMS can range China's coast though.

Minister of National Defense Blair had previously claimed "early 2025", which is still very dubious IMO. The NASAMS batteries ordered by the United States are ahead of the one Canada is paying for.
Raytheon and the DoD remain very tight lipped about Sentinel radar production rates, which are the limiting factor.
