It’s likely that EW, communications, UAV, and other units were also redeployed to the border.

It hasn’t yet been possible to confirm the claimed redeployment of some units of the Belarusian Armed Forces. We note that the number of troops redeployed to Homiel region doesn’t pose a military threat to Ukraine.

According to our data, only 3 arrivals of Russian transport and passenger aircraft in Belarus were recorded in August:
• Baranavichy airfield – 1 An-72, 1 An-26;
• Minsk National Airport – 1 Tu-204 of Rosgvardiya.

In August, a search crew of the 90th Separate Special Search Battalion of the Russian Armed Forces (about 10 people) arrived in Belarus. This battalion is the only unit in the Russian Armed Forces, which searches for and identifies the remains of dead soldiers.

It’s known that the Russian searchers arrived in Belarus to conduct search operations in Polatsk district, Vitsiebsk region.

As of September 1, 2024, Belarusian Hajun estimates the number of the Russian military stationed in Belarus at ~2000.
