🇺🇲🇳🇱 The US State Department has approved a possible Foreign Military Sale to The Netherlands of 246 AIM-9X Block II air to air missiles, plus associated equipment and services for an estimated cost of $691 million.
Sidewinder unit cost is ~$400,000.
The prime contractor would be Raytheon.
"The description and dollar value are for the highest estimated quantity and dollar value. Actual dollar value will be lower depending on final requirements, budget authority, and signed sales agreement(s), if and when concluded."
