RT @deaidua: Now that the German MoD has clarified its information at the request of German journalist @thomas_wiegold, I can happily report that Germany will indeed supply #Ukraine with 12 PzH 2000 worth €150 million in addition to the 18 PzH 2000 already since February

The delivery schedule should now look like this. ⬇️

2024: 6 PzH 2000
2025: 6 PzH 2000
2026 & 2027: 18 PzH 2000 https://twitter.com/deaidua/status/1832011159039254697#m

RT @thecipherbrief: Cipher Brief Expert and former Chief of @CIA’s Central Eurasia Division Rob Dannenberg pens an open letter to National Security Advisor Jake Sullivan urging the lifting of restrictions on Ukraine’s use of long-range, U.S. supplied weapons to be used to attack military targets inside of #Russia.

Dannenberg calls it one of the most important final decisions this administration could make, impacting the outcome of Russia’s war against #Ukraine.

RT @Dr_M_Davis: More on possible outcome of discussions about removing (or not really removing) US imposed constraints on #Ukraine's ability to employ US supplied long-range weapons (and weapons supplied by western European partners) against targets inside Russia.

If this report is accurate, that's a real setback for Kyiv and will only encourage #Putin to escalate and prolong his aggression against Ukraine. It also sends a signal of weakness from the US that will be picked up not only in Moscow, but also in Beijing, Pyongyang and Tehran. https://twitter.com/ColbyBadhwar/status/1834287492247191940#m

RT @deaidua: According to BILD, the 12 PzH 2000 recently pledged to #Ukraine are available thanks to a deal between Germany and Qatar. Germany has apparently authorised the export of RCH 155 howitzers to Qatar, which in return will hand over 12 of its 24 PzH 2000 to the German industry, from where they will be refurbished and delivered to Ukraine.

Thanks to the German MoD we already know that they are paying about €150 million for the delivery of these 12 PzH 2000 while the total export volume to Qatar in the first half of 2024 was about €100 million, of which “just” the majority was this RCH 155 for PzH 2000 deal. So now you can guess how much money the German industry gets via this deal.

This deal between Germany and Qatar to support Ukraine is actually not the first of its kind. Germany has already made deals with countries in this region in the pa...

RT @GlasnostGone: After his deranged attack on #Ukraine's president Zelensky, Trump's said he's looking at range of options in Russia - should he lose the presidential election. But admitted he still feels nervous about the prospect of swallowing anything made in Russia. 😉

RT @EL4UKR_Harley: Notice our tractor we bought all them months ago to help with demining?

The hard work of our Kherson Apostles sapper team never stops. His face says it all.

I don't think there is another team or multi million pound organisation in Ukraine that has removed as many mines from Ukrainian land as ours, not even close or half of our numbers.

Support has been down this year, probably due to me breaking my ankle, but I'm determined to keep fighting for it.. what's been performed with only basic tools and a shoestring budget is nothing short of a miracle.

Keep supporting EOD 🫡

RT @deaidua: Great news! In an interview with RND Major General Christian Freuding *¹ stated that last week, Germany had delivered an IRIS-T SLM fire unit along with two IRIS-T SLS launchers to #Ukraine!

Reminder: The IRIS-T SLM fire unit was co-financed by Norway via the German Immediate Action on Air Defence initiative.

*¹ = Major General Christian Freuding is the Head of the Planning and Command Staff and Head of the Situation Centre Ukraine in the German MoD and one of the highest-ranking Germans when it comes to the German military assistance to Ukraine.

RT @deaidua: Small update on the delivery of Lynx IFVs to #Ukraine. In an interview with WELT AM SONNTAG, Rheinmetall CEO Armin Papperger once again confirmed that the first (batch) delivery of Lynx IFVs to Ukraine will include exactly 10 vehicles (delivery starts this year).

While he puts Ukraine's total needs at 3,000 vehicles, he confirms once again that nothing has yet been decided regarding further deliveries, as it is still unclear who will pay how much.

Here I would like to point out once again that if the German government does not decide to allocate extra funds in the budget for military aid in 2025 during the budget negotiations by mid-November, Ukraine will have to finance contracts itself using the billions in loans from the G7 and the EU financed from the profits of the frozen Russian assets (which sounds bad but this is what they were made for).

RT @deaidua: During today's government press conference, government spokesperson @RegSprecher announced that Germany's Ukraine policy will not change a bit despite the deployment of North Korean soldiers in the Russian war of aggression against #Ukraine.

I've got no words for this.
