I think the UA Kursk effort will get increasingly harder as the Russians allocate resources to limit their advance. I think sustainment of the UA forces might be difficult. They are now operating in a 100% hostile environment, everyone is an enemy.

Interesting fact.
If a Russian soldier dies in Ukraine, the Russian government will give $68,800 to his family.
(Probably more)
No family of soldiers dying in Kursk oblast will receive that, it only applies if they die in Ukraine.

RT @emilkastehelmi: Kursk offensive, situation update:
Ukrainians have pushed further in all directions. They have at least a partial control of Sudzha and they're pushing towards Koronevo-Rylsk direction.
Smaller detachments are operating on in the area of the Sudzha-Lgov road. 1/

Once operations go mobile, the open source picture looks very different from what we are used to see, from large parts of the war.
Couple that, in this instance, with very tight Ukrainian OPSEC and visibility becomes poor, fragmented and lagging behind actual events.

Struck by the fact that we can barely work out with confidence which Ukrainian brigades & what proportion of them are properly in in Kursk, let alone if anything is in reserve & what precisely is happening. OSINT can be absolutely magical, and sometimes incredibly…

When Russia invaded Kharkiv from the North this year they managed to take 250 sq km of land, with 180 sq km left now. Ukraine 🇺🇦 has taken ~430 sq km of Kursk, and up to 600 sq km by some reports
Russian channels said an invasion of Kharkiv was being prepped for over a year
