RT @NATO_JWC: The JWC leadership & staff conducted a field study in the area of Helleland (@EigersundK) 🇳🇴, focusing on the British-led Operation Freshman, as the first Allied glider-borne raid of World War Two, initiating the Allied Heavy Water (#tungtvann) campaign in #Norway in 1942-44.

Staff rides help develop a better understanding of the operational art of war through the study of military history, with the purpose to draw conclusions that may support #NATO training for future operations. This study also helped reflecting on the sacrifices made on both sides during the campaign.

The field study concluded at Slettebø with a remembrance ceremony in order to pay tribute to the casualties of Operation Freshman.

The G7 leaders’ communique includes the situation in Belarus

A statement of the G7 leaders on the results of the annual summit was published on the website of the White House. It mentions Belarus.

“We reiterate our condemnation of the Belarusian regime’s complicity in Russia’s war against Ukraine. We express our continued concern over the regime’s continuing repression of independent media, civil society, opposition, and citizens that peacefully express their views.

We also condemn the ill treatment of political prisoners and ask for their immediate and unconditional release,” the G7 statement says.

In addition, the G7 leaders also condemned Russia’s irresponsible and threatening nuclear rhetoric and its posture of strategic intimidation, including its announced deployment of nuclear weapons in Belarus.

📍6300€ left to provide the 93rd Battalion with the 4x4 2014 year van you can see on the photo.

📍 Also, the soldiers of the 14th NGU Brigade turned to me with an urgent request for electronic warfare systems. As at the moment, the unit has no working EW systems of required frequencies left. Therefore, the final goal of the campaign was increased to provide the guys with protection from Russian drones as quickly as possible.
