@KyivIndependent: It’s a problem that more aid is not being approved. But they have $4 billion that they could send in military aid, acknowledged by both the Pentagon and the White House.
If Biden wanted to, he could send 100,000 155mm Cluster Munitions to Ukraine but he decided not to. Bad move.

Europe Wants to Stand on Its Own Militarily. Is It Too Little, Too Late?
Outraged by Donald J. Trump’s remarks about encouraging Russia to punish some NATO members, and downbeat about Ukraine’s military prospects, Europe faces growing anxiety over its own security.

@RussiaBattleMap: Russia over states their capabilities. If Russia had aircraft with better radars and air-to-air missiles then Ukraine would not have an air force now. If they can’t shoot down Su-27 fighter jets Ukraine flies close to the frontline everyday, F-16s will be harder to shoot down.

@mrmrskitchen @KyivIndependent: The Biden Administration requested $8 billion of direct PDA military aid in that $60 billion aid package. They also have not used any of the $4 billion they currently have since they claimed to stop sending Ukraine new military aid packages in December. It is not just for air defense. It is for everything.
They have more than enough money to send both air defense missiles and cluster munition shells and HIMARS GMLRS rockets and ATACMS to Ukraine for a while, but they refuse to do so. It could help out significantly on the battlefield if Biden sent 100,000 155mm Cluster Munition shells and 150 ATACMS tomorrow. They would still have over 90% of the $4 billion left. Currently, the number 1 need for Ukraine is artillery shells.

@hansenbc1 @KyivIndependent: Because that is what the White House requested from Congress, they originally requested that they would send aid several billions of dollars more to Ukraine than what they have to replenish. They currently have $4 billion of direct military aid which they could send hundreds of thousands of cluster munition shells to Ukraine quickly and still have over 90% of it left.
The priority now is not to replenish cluster munition shells for America, that would take years to replenish those shells, the priority now most importantly is Ukraine, and then when more funding gets past, They can order more shells to replenish. They already have hundreds of thousands of shells to be made would may take several years before new ones are sent or even begin to be replenished. It is an excuse, not to send Ukraine the most important equipment that they need to fight against the Russians. Ammunition is a massive problem for the Ukrainian Forces right now.
Additionally, US had aboit $4 billion of direct military aid left and about $1 billion of replenishment left, they have used the $1 billion of replenishment but did not use $1 billion of military aid. Meaning that they have allocated to replenish $1 billion more than what they have sent to Ukraine.
In the $60 billion package for Ukraine, the replenishment is significantly higher than what America would be sending to Ukraine. The presidential drawdown authority cap for that is about $8 billion. In the $60 billion bill, the replenishment is over $20 billion it’s not even going to Ukraine so in the future we will have more than enough to replenish. And $8 billion is certainly not enough for Ukraine to win or even mount any serious offensives. US gave over $5 billion of PDA military aid to Ukraine in January 2023, now they are requesting $8 billion in PDA for a whole year, and ignoring the $4 billion they have remaining when Ukraine is in a critical situation in the battlefield. Sending 100,000 cluster munitions to Ukraine would not affect America in anyway.
