Another point: open sources do not show you everything. If your analysis is based purely on open sources—and you do not accurately acknowledge uncertainty— your analysis will generally be at least partially wrong.

@John_A_Ridge: How about the number of Patriot batteries outside of the country that US operates? I heard it was 50-60 batteries inside the country and 20-30 batteries outside of the country.

@OlegKostour @noclador: People are saying this like it’s so easy to do, it takes years to do if not a decade for Ukraine to develop missiles like that, and they wouldn’t get it up to the needed high production. They need good missiles from Europe and US making their own is for very long or after the war

@John_A_Ridge: Thank you for the explanation. Does US have any extra ones that they are not using? I heard Israel retired some their Patriot Batteries and that they are mostly not in use and were replaced by David’s Sling.
