@The_Lookout_N: When it comes to events like this, it's prudent to remain calm, avoid speculation and go by official statements.

Therefore, determining intentional vs unintentional is up to Polish authorities and not me. Also, nuances can be lost in auto-translation.

RT @tshugart3: Wow - China promotes the until-recent chief of the PLA Navy to Defense Minister. Unless I’m mistaken, that’s the first naval officer appointed to that position.

Could reflect a greater emphasis on the maritime domain and China’s ambitions further afield.

RT @UAControlMap: @JayinKyiv: >The West hasn't allowed us to hit these.

Sorry, but that sentence is absolute bollocks. Remember, Ukraine hit one Tu-22 at Engels last December, seemingly irrepairable, AND absolutely toasted a Tu-22 at Soltsy in August via drone.

🇵🇱🇷🇺🇺🇦 | The official statement from the General Staff of the Polish Armed Forces regarding today's incident with a Russian missile:

"We would like to inform you that on Friday at 7.12 [am] local time, from the side of the border with Ukraine, there was a violation of Polish airspace by an object that left Polish territory after less than three minutes. We identify it as a Russian cruise missile.

Throughout the whole time, the missile's flight path was tracked by radar systems, both Polish and allied. Air defense systems remained ready for use. In addition, F-16 aircraft patrolling the sector were directed to the area where the missile crossed Polish airspace. Additionally, in order to verify data from radar systems, forces and resources from the land forces, air forces and territorial defense forces were deployed to trace the object's flight trajectory on the earth's surface." https://twitter.com/SztabGenWP/status/1740760240805621868#m

RT @HighMarsed: 1/ Another challenging BMP-assesment for the 22nd storage base. Russia had 807 BMPs at this base in 2021 and have removed 338 until July 2023. The 2023 imagery is lower quality and I previously misidentified one spot which is why this count is higher than the last.
