RT @Rebel44CZ: And given the @mod_russia tendency to lie about everything and minimize things that make them look bad, the real losses might be quite a bit higher.

As a reminder, the Eastern Military District commander Colonel-General Alexander Chayko and VDV commander Colonel-General Andrey Serdyukov were both in Belarus as part of the Allied Resolve exercise. 2/

One thing to note is that not all of the district commanders are of the same rank. Southern Military District Commander Aleksandr Dvornikov is an Army General whereas Zhuravlyov, Lapin, and Chayko are all Colonel-Generals. 3/

RT @RALee85: What is interesting is that it appears each military district has deployed its C2 to run different parts of this war, which is not what Russia did in Ukraine in 2014-2015 or in Syria where they typically appointed the chief of staff of a district or a CAA CO as commander.

There are two parts to this:
-the Russian military has some key weaknesses (some technical) that have been exposed by operating on a larger scale
-the Russian military did not fight the way it normally does and did not maximally employ some of its capabilities that we know it has

@Mpolymer:
It is extraordinary 3 weeks in a) how poorly the Russian military has performed. On a historic and epic scale of incompetence b) were the IC ‘s military analysts (CIA, DIA, and NSA) significantly off in assessing Russian military prowess? It’s a fair question. https://t.co/UA2EOij5cE

79-80. From same photo set as in twt 78, a RuAF T-72B3M of 228th Motor Rifle Regt, 90 Guards Tank Division. This is 1st loss I saw from this Regt, while I count the 90th's 6th Tank Regt lost close to 20 T-72s, so maybe a rotation. It lost both tracks but perhaps can be recovered.
