There's a lot of talk on the Russian telegrams about some great Kupyansk offensive. For me, this looks like the Russians pushed out in to the grey zone from Vil'Shana and established positions in the grey zone without taking UA positions.

Meanwhile from inside the village an amazing story if true. 'Maestro' a 47th Mechanised Bde soldier was buried by a blast in the 1st attempt to enter the village on 21/07. He hid out for over a month.
He describes arriving via Bradley. He and a comrade 'Sova' were caught in shelling. He received burns to his eyes and was covered by earth and couldn't move. Before that he killed an enemy and wounded another but 'Sova' was wounded. Sova asked the Russians for help but they shot him while 'Maestro' was buried. He dug himself out but had to hide from a drone and shelling, staying in a hole in bushes for days and surviving on berries. After crawling around he hid in a shed in the village. He would emerge at night to search for food. There were cans but he had no knife so ate half of a large bag of dry noodles. The Russians were looking for him but he didn't surrender as he feared torture. Later he hear...
