More scenes of 1st Mech Batt, 3rd Assault Bde clearing west of the canal. The 2🇷🇺KIA at 2:50 are at the same trench junction in twt 131. One more KIA further on. In 3 places RuAF have discarded AKs - suggesting indiscipline.

3rd Company, 1st Mech Batt, 3rd Assault Bde have now released their own compilation of the battle. Some scenes seen before in tweets 142-4 + 153, but new battle, WIA + drone scenes. The POW at 035 is new. I've now viewed 9 of the 10 announced POWs.

The guiding strategic planning assumption in the West must be for a long war, as there's no indications that Russia is backing down.

This means the West needs to get serious on industrial mobilization, both to sustain Ukraine and increase our own conventional capabilities.

I wonder what the author's alternative to "a grim reality with no end in sight" is.

Any forced ceasefire would just mean a pause before the next round, which may get bigger than this one.

Throughout this war, there has been no signs of Russia wanting to escalate beyond Ukraine and that remains the case today. It's also a question of current capabilities.

The West needs to stay on course, gear up industry quickly and give Ukraine the tools they say they need.
