@Pie_man9 They are not the same. If Russia uses nukes and gets away with it then it would lead to them using more nukes on Ukraine, and if Russia uses a nuke on NATO they will be saying goodbye to their existence

That will not occur with the Zaporizhzhia NPP. Ukraine will mostly be harmed

@Pie_man9 It would harm Ukraine significantly more than it would harm Europe. These are the same predictions made for the dam that it would fully flood the left bank, when in reality it wasn't even close to that. It would harm the area, likely where my house is but not like 100% of Ukraine

@Pie_man9 It will hurt Ukraine energy wise when they get the power plant back under their control and it will harm a significant portion of Ukraine ecologically, but the predictions being made are a bit on the extreme side. It isn't Chernobyl the new NPPs have many more safety features now

@Pie_man9 Yes, if Russia knows that it would have a high chance of bring a high amount of radiation then they won't do it. But the predictions are on the extreme side, and the reactor is newer not like Chernobyl. It has more safety features. The radiation fall out maybe less than predicted

@parrot_soldier @AfroJew84 Agreed, it would allow nuclear states to get away with invading smaller countries without nukes, and threatening nukes on countries who aid them in self-defense to retake their territories back. Red Lines must be drawn, and Russia’s empty nuclear threats should not be entertained
