The projectile received the "OF-462LCh" index- it is similar to early Soviet OF-462 and has a fuze adapter in the top part of the projectile. The markings and this feature allow to ID it as Ukrainian.
The OF-462LCh is loaded with TNT and has a RGM-2[M] point-detonating fuze.

In general, this is a standard 122mm HE-FRAG projectile. However, an additional source of this ammunition, consumed in huge amounts daily, would obviously be useful.
Along with production in Eastern Europe, this allows the use of Soviet-origin artillery for as long as possible.

@MattVallone It depends on the context. I think it is ok to question whether or not we have the right balance of heavy and light units, but this war is showing how important tanks and mechanized infantry are in a high-intensity land war. Tanks may be less useful in other scenarios.

Even if there were commanders not agreeing with the decision, they would get in line and support it publicly. I'm not saying this is the case, I'm saying this could be the case. We will have to read about it in 20 years.
