@GeromanAT My point is they shouldn’t be allowed to strike Russian territory with ATACMS, like they can’t with HIMARS. Because Russia can view it as an attack on its homeland.

Ukraine can’t easily reach Crimea, destroy military bases, bridges, or important supply lines out of HIMARS range.

The entire western military needs to commit fully to train and equip Ukrainian troops. Tanks, Jets, ATACMS, Air Defense and logistics.

@T_90_M Not if they are used the same way HIMARS is, meaning only striking Russian controlled territories in Ukraine including Crimea. US likely agreed with Ukraine that they could only use HIMARS on Ukrainian Territory, but they can’t hit all of Ukrainian Territory with standard HIMARS.

@ZaigaZaig @GeromanAT I guess we wouldn’t know till their used in battle. HIMARS GMLRS is not as old as ATACMS and are successful. On the other hand ATACMS has 1 rocket instead of 6, and it is older. There is a possibility it would be successful, and there is a possibility ATACMS get shot down easily.

@T_90_M @GeromanAT Because Crimea is Ukrainian Territory annexed by Russia in 2014, and they have every right to strike it. Today, a referendum was announced by Putin for 4 oblasts to be part of Russia. This was done specifically to give Russia the right to call it an attack on their own territory.
