It seems Western and Eastern district units in Ukraine now fall under the command of Lapin or Surovikin. From what I've heard, Western Military District CO Zhuravlyov and his Chief of Staff were relieved and Eastern Military District CO Chayko is back in Syria (3rd time as CO).7/

It isn't clear exactly when Russia set up an overall commander for the operation. It was previously reported that Southern Military District (YuVO) CO Alexander Dvornikov was the overall CO, but it wasn't clear if this was a separate command or if YuVO was just the main effort.8/

It now appears Zhidko is leading a separate command structure (possibly ad hoc) as the overall commander and the Central and Southern groupings fall under their respective district command structure and staff. 9/

Surovikin is the commander of the Southern grouping but it isn't 100% clear if this means he is now the Southern Military District commander as well (replacing Dvornikov who appears to no longer have a role in Ukraine). He is/was the commander of Russia's Aerospace Forces. 10/

Tigr-M and Iveco LMV Rys IMVs, two PMP floating bridges, a command and staff vehicle, fuel truck and rare 9S932-1 Barnaul-T automated system for AD units were destroyed or put out of service. No medical vehicles.
Quite a curious compilation for a hospital.

Lapin remains the commander of one of Russia's two apparent force groupings in Ukraine despite the questionable performance of some Central Military District units in the beginning of the war. 11/

Very poor tactics displayed by this Russian armored force so close to Kyiv. They're well within range of Ukrainian artillery in Kyiv, they're on an obvious avenue of approach, and they still decided to bunch up like this, leaving them more vulnerable to indirect fire. https://t.co/3ShhyF5OsE

Also notable is that Lapin's son is the commander of the 1st Tank Regiment whom he awarded for his performance in Ukraine even though it appears his regiment performed poorly and lost half of its tanks. 12/

Ukraine published documents reportedly from Russia's 1st Tank Army showing its losses through March 15. It lists: 61 KIA, 209 WIA, 44 MIA, and 96 taken POW.
Incredibly, the 2nd Motorized Rifle Division's 1st Tank Regiment allegedly lost 45 T-72B3M tanks.
