Since the beginning of the Russian invasion of Ukraine, the Belarusian Ministry of Defense has strengthened the border in Belarus.
Most of the forces were deployed in the direction of the Ukrainian border, where road protection was also organized by setting checkpoints.

Most of them were additionally reinforced by camouflaged infantry fighting vehicles and/or tanks that stood nearby on the roadside or in the woods. Sometimes there could be 3 or 4 checkpoints on one highway.

However, after the withdrawal of Russian troops from the direction of Kyiv, some of the security checkpoints were removed.
As for the current positions, here is a list of checkpoints that are highly probably still functioning:

Brest region:

• Between Malaryta and the border;
• Near the village of Vuzhova;
• Near the village of Malinauka;
• Stolin district, in front of the bridge near the road, from the direction of Stolin.

Gomel region:

• In the village of Skarodnaye near the bridge;
• Near the village of Rosa Luxemburg;
• In the village of Yuravichy (at the crossroads near the Primitive man’s camp);
• The village of Stariya Khrakavichy;
• Between the villages of Kholmech and Piaredzelka;

• Between the border and the village of Tserakhouka.
