@Maks_NAFO_FELLA: Confirmation to Ukraine’s Sovereignty then the plan goes on to mention 27 points about why Ukraine doesn’t have sovereignty because Russia would be controlling their decisions and future if the deal is agreed too.

There are anonymous accounts on this platform that are worth following (some really worth following), but by default you should treat anonymous accounts with significantly more skepticism than individuals who are unambiguously real.
I continue to be stunned at how many very knowledgeable people don't practice basic information hygiene, but this is good advice for everyone in life.

@ManiatiGeorge @noclador: Gripen is inferior to pretty much everything else on that list, and Gripen doesn't have any sort of inherent edge in operational readiness.

@DraxlMiroslav @GibisVB: The capability of an aircraft and its costs, both capital and O&M have to be evaluated in concert. My point is that the lower O&M cost of Gripen doesn't make up for massive shortfalls in capability. That's why it has failed nearly 20 bids. Not sure why that's confusing for you.

@heatloss1986: Yes, skepticism in general is warranted. Nobody should get a free pass, anonymous or not, but anonymous accounts should get even more skepticism, is my point.

@YarvinBiodiesel @ManiatiGeorge @noclador: Does the Gripen not require software updates too? Also, it has a US engine, so all customers need US permission to buy it.

RT @deaidua: Since I keep getting asked about reports claiming Chancellor Merz confirmed a planned Taurus delivery to #Ukraine or other long-range missile transfers, I want to clarify what was actually said — and what he meant. All details below.
Let us first address the source of these reports. The source – often misquoted or false interpreted, of course – is a joint press conference held by Merz and Swedish Prime Minister Kristersson on the 19th of November 2025 in Berlin. Both the full question from the Swedish reporter and the full answer given by Merz can be watched again via the attached video. I translated the segment for you and added English subtitles.
Let's move on to the actual content. Basically, Merz did not confirm a Taurus delivery to Ukraine, nor did he even hint at it. All he did was repeat what had already been discussed and officially confirmed for many months. Germany is financing the production of far-reaching weapon systems...

RT @UAControlMap: Daily Ukraine map thread for Thursday 20th November 2025
Highlights: Russian forces seen consolidating unhindered in southern Pokrovsk, as well as scooter troops in south Myrnohrad getting it. It is likely just the small parts of Myrnohrad left now, which likely hold a small rear guard only. (Map 1)
Russian forces sighted getting hit inside Lyman again, and also inside north Zvanivka in the Siversk direction.
Russian forces raise flag in hamlet of Vesele in east Zaporizhia, but it's very likely they are further on from this settlement in that direction as there is little to no defense from the Ukrainian troops in the area.
In lighter news, and one of the reasons why we do the whole project to counter disinformation is that Russian forces announced the full capture of Kupyansk on their state media, and that 15 Ukrainian battalions are surrounded. Needless to say, just plain no.

@YarvinBiodiesel @ManiatiGeorge @noclador: Who is the our here? Canada? Absolutely not. The RCAF is 100% against the Gripen and 100% against a mixed fleet. It's a massive waste of money. Gripen has no advantage in operating from austere runways, and we're not going to be basing the F-35 in the far north either.

@YarvinBiodiesel @ManiatiGeorge @noclador: The US is not actually hostile to Canada. The military to military relationship remains as close as ever and the US will never not be our largest trading partner. You can't change geography.
