I don't see how people are taking from this answer that his decision is yes. This seems like a classic maybe from Trump. His response certainly leaves the door open and is far more positive than the immediate dismissals that were common from President Biden, but it's far from an unambiguous yes.

If they really want to stretch this out, they can say they made the decision to sell them for eventual supply to Ukraine, then get Europe to fund one Typhoon system, and that would take 2 years or more to be built, then Ukraine will get 50 missiles after the 2 years.

Or they can take the quick route, supply Ukraine with 4 to 6 JTLV Tomahawk launchers, and +200 Tomahawk missiles, and Ukraine could be launching Tomahawks within 2 months. But knowing Trump he is always considering and never doing.

The best thing to do, would be to supply Ukraine with hundreds of ATACMS, which the US does not need. And also supply them with hundreds of JASSM cruise missiles and some JASSM-ER. Then that will quickly change the tide of the war in Ukraine, but there hasn’t been a word about more ATACMS or JASSM for Ukraine. Only Tomahawks which could take years because it would be slow walked.
