🇮🇶🇺🇦🇷🇺 An Iraqi man has been sentenced to life in prison by Iraqi authorities for human trafficking after he recruited Iraqis to fight on the Russian side against Ukraine.

The Najaf Criminal Court said that the convicted man had "formed groups and sent them to fight in foreign countries in exchange for financial compensation."

RT @deaidua: A brief clarification, as the “news” that Germany will deliver two MIM-104 Patriot fire units to Ukraine by the end of the year is currently being widely reported. While this is certainly great information in general, it is by no means news.

It has been known since the initial announcement in early August that the delivery will be completed before the end of the year. More precisely, on the 1st of August, the German Ministry of Defence announced that deliveries would be completed within two to three months, i.e., by November.
