@APHClarkson: I am of the opinion that unless one answers yes to the question are we willing to go to war with Russia over Ukraine, a lot of what's being discussed is meaningless, and reduces Europe's already low credibility in the eyes if the Russians.

Of course, Ukraine wants security guarantees and it is vital for their future, but I'm skeptical they will get any meaningful ones.

@APHClarkson: We will see what happens and much can be labeled security guarantees too, but the question "will we fight Russia over Ukraine" needs to be addressed and so far European leaders have avoided that one like the plauge.

One of the few who have gotten close, in the deployment discussions, have been the Norwegian PM who said "this is a very serious topic".

The fighter jets deployed in Poland are not just ordinary Rafales, but the ones belonging to the Strategic Air Forces.

Dassault Rafale B fighter jets are capable of carrying ASMP-A/R air-to-surface missiles, which can be equipped with nuclear warhead, although that doesn't necessarily mean that such armament has been also sent to Poland.
