Anti-ship missile defense, even for ships with capable defensive systems, isn't an easy task. Lots of actions needs to done correctly, in a very short time
A subsonic missile covers 10 nm pr min, so if we assume no warning of launch, this gives you roughly 2 - 3 minutes to react

@The_Lookout_N:
@konrad_muzyka Anti-ship missile defense isn't easy, even with the best defensive systems available. Especially if the crew of the targeted ship is unaware of the threat until the last moment.

That is 2 - 3 minutes from earliest possible time of detection on own sensors to impact.
The war is now on day 50.
BLKFLT had settled into a pattern, and crew complacency a real possibility. Add in bad intel, and we may have the recipe for what possibly happend yesterday.

@Northern_Sentry @krorvik There was less Russian activity during Cold Response than most anticipated.
Our Chief of Defense also has noted that in some interviews.
