Anti-ship missile defense, even for ships with capable defensive systems, isn't an easy task. Lots of actions needs to done correctly, in a very short time
A subsonic missile covers 10 nm pr min, so if we assume no warning of launch, this gives you roughly 2 - 3 minutes to react
