Thus far in the war, the Russian Navy has lost one large landing ship, another large landing ship sustained damage, a Raptor patrol boat was struck by an ATGM, and now the Black Sea Fleet's flagship has sustained "serious damage" likely a result of a Ukrainian strike. 3/

#Ukraine: In some absolutely remarkable news, it turns out that the Ukrainian claim of hitting the Russian Moskva missile cruiser with 2x R-360 "Neptun" ASMs is true, with Russian MoD claiming it was seriously damaged after "detonation of ammo on board".

This is very significant, as the Moskva is (was) the flagship of the Black Sea Fleet of the Russian Navy.
According to information we have, it was very seriously damaged and may even be a total loss. Even though the R-360 was barely operational, it seems the UA side utilised it.

US last week stepped up intel sharing to help Ukraine track Russian attacks “and to enable the Ukrainians to respond with artillery, drone attacks”. But US “will refrain from providing intel that would enable the Ukrainians to strike targets on Russian territory” https://t.co/4hpLrasVB2

RT @RALee85: The Russian MoD is claiming that ammunition exploded on the Black Sea Fleet's flagship, the Moskva Project 1164 missile cruiser, and that it has sustained serious damage.

RT @APHClarkson: @CharlieGCollard The Russian Ministry of Defence would rather the world think that the Russian navy's flagship sank because of Russian incompetence rather than Ukrainian skill

RT @havard_lindheim: @APHClarkson Well, losing a flagship against a country without a navy, without being at war, that's surely something.

RT @jon96179496: While unconfirmed at this stage, sources indicate:
There were multiple explosions heard on Moskva & a fire followed. Power was lost immediately. Some evacuations were done but were hampered due to bad weather (27km/h winds & 2 meter waves). The Moskva capsized on the port side.

RT @jon96179496: One thing that makes this attack impressive is that if Neptune missiles are confirmed to be used in the attack, they were manufactured in Ukraine & were only available to the forces in the last 2 weeks.
So in less than 2 weeks they managed to hit the flagship Russian cruiser.
