@DevanaUkraine: 75% of Russia’s Tu-95, Tu-160 long-range strategic bombers are at Ukrainka Airbase. The security of the roads near the base is unknown, but UAVs with a +7km range are needed to reach it. Another Operation Spiderweb is needed just for that air base. There are 40 long-range bombers

Ukraine Battle Map (Twitter)
@Maks_NAFO_FELLA: In the long term, militarily speaking, it may be better for Ukraine to wait for the Swiss system because it would be equivalent to two Patriot systems.
Germany’s systems are older; they can only intercept missiles within 120 degrees, while the newly built systems would be able to intercept all 360 degrees, and have GaN AESA, making it easier to detect and intercept Iskander-M missiles. That Patriot could be put into a big city like Dnipro, and then two others that Ukraine currently has could be reallocated to other cities in the Central or Western part of Ukraine.
Currently, Ukraine’s Patriot systems suffer from how old they are; they are not fully upgraded, lack launchers, lack 360-degree radars, and lack the necessary quantity of PAC-3 MSE missiles. This enables Russia to penetrate Ukraine’s air defenses with Iskander-M missiles more easily, and forces Ukraine to put two Patriots to defend a city like Kyiv, Odesa, or Dnipro, and not protect it very well. Sending three new systems to Ukraine would be the equivalent of sending eight older Patriots to Ukraine.
