I think there's a need for Western, and especially Euro military thinkers, to take a new look at attritional warfare.
Maneuver warfare, and the idea of a short, sharp war has been the mantra for so long, that one easily can fall for a failure of imagination, with potentially severe consequences.
This isn't to say that everything manoeuvrist should be thrown out the window but, I think an adjustment of mindset is necessary.
Especially if we want to prevent a potential war with Russia from quickly escalating into a strategic nuclear exchange.

Не знаю, откуда у автора с сайта СОШ самарского села Петровка эта инфа, но на 01/01/24 называют 139 200х и 21 пропавшего (возможно, весьма близкие к реальности цифры)

This isn't to say that the cartels aren't a security threat, they are.
Nor do I mention, or want to touch upon, US immigration policies.
My point is: "Invading Mexico" on a whim brings along a real risk of starting a forever war on the US southern border, creating more threats

There would be more strike missions if there were more munitions. Not limited by aircraft or aircrew availability.
