🚀 🚁 For the first time in history! Russian military helicopter was shot down by the Ukrainian sea drone!

«💥 Historic strike - On December 31, 2024, soldiers of the Main Directorate of Intelligence’s special unit “Group 13” for the first time in the world shot down an air target using a Magura V5 sea drone equipped with missile weapons!

✔️ During the battle in the Black Sea near Cape Tarkhankut of temporarily occupied Crimea, a Russian Mi-8 helicopter was destroyed by the use of R-73 “SeeDragon” missiles.

❗️ Another similar enemy helicopter was hit by fire and was able to reach the airfield.

⚔️ The fight continues!

@cso_pol: We love to see it. Ukraine has been trying to shoot down Russian military helicopters with R-73 missiles on naval drones since May 2024, for the past 7 months. And finally were successful at it. Hopefully more Russian helicopters will be shot down now that they’ve had success.

@mksmoscowregion: As of now, with that crappy footage, there is no way to confirm those are HIMARS or any specific vehicle.

With the 10 by 10 pixel video they have given, it’s possible to infer that the vehicles have 4 wheels on each side which HIMARS do not have. RM-70, other MLRS/trucks have it

The funeral of the deputy commander of the engineering troops of Russia, Major General Konstantin Smeshko, who died on December 26, 2024, was held in Moscow. The Russians are not sharing any information about the causes of his death.

P.S: There were couple of notable strikes carried out on Russian objects on 26th of December. First HIMARS strike on gathering of three Russian captains not far from the front. But the most interesting, Storm Shadow strike on Russian underground facilities in Oryol region of Russia which are also used as Shahed storage and maintenance site. “Well, here is the first defeat of the Mi-8 helicopter by fire from an anti-aircraft Ukrainian unmanned boat using an R-73 missile.
