RT @deaidua: Yesterday, Chancellor Olaf Scholz announced that Germany will deliver additional Patriot launchers to #Ukraine in December. I wanted to be safe and asked the Dutch MoD whether it had anything to do with their launcher delivery, which was announced just days ago.
Today, a spokesperson for the Dutch MoD said to me that the German pledge had nothing to do with the Dutch delivery, which is excellent news!
Ukraine will therefore receive at least two additional Patriot launchers from Germany in December, after receiving three Patriot launchers from the Dutch in November.

The next Presidential election will be in 2027 unless the President resigns or is impeached. The South Korean President can only stay for a single 5-year term as President.
The last legislative election was in 2024, 8 months ago. The President’s party got 36.67% of the regional vote, while the opposition, the Democratic and Rebuilding Korea Party combined, got 50.95% of the vote. The next legislative elections are in 2028.
The impeachment of a South Korean President requires 200 of 300 National Assembly votes to impeach, followed by at least 6 of the 9 Justices on the Constitutional Court of Korea. South Korean President Park Geun-hye was impeached in 2016-2017 over corruption and abuse of power. The whole process took around three months. It was the first impeachment of a South Korean President.

The reason was due to the Pro-North Korean, anti-state opposition in the country. Under martial law, the media is controlled, and the president has significantly more authority over how the military operates within the country, including suppressing opposition and political activities.
President Yoon also ordered a complete shutdown of the National Assembly. However, the legislature opposed the declaration of martial law.
In the legislature, the president’s party controls only 108 out of the 300 seats, while the two opposition parties, the Democratic Party and the Rebuilding Korea Party, hold a combined 192 seats.
