And a reminder that current European nuclear capabilities actually are substantial was in order too. Many seem to forget that bit.

Current European nuclear capabilities, the British and French arsenals, are rather significant, and the French air component brings with it flexibility.

Russia's RBK confirms that the commander of Russia's South Group of Forces Colonel General Gennady Anashkin was replaced. RBK claims this was a planned rotation but Rybar and Romanov both say he was removed for passing false information to Gerasimov about the situation on the battlefield.
