In fact, his words do not correspond to reality, because in December 2023, Belarus banned “Western” planes to land in Belarus without the permission of the “authorities.”

This ban has been in effect for almost a year (extended every three months) and is expected to be extended again. The thing is that Belaeronavigatsia prohibited the planes, which enter the airspace of Belarus from Latvia, Lithuania and Poland, to land in Belarus without special permission of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Belarus. The exception applies only to emergency situations during the flight, as well as business aviation.

SLCM-N was first proposed by the Trump Admin in 2018.
