RT @manniefabian: No Israeli Air Force aircraft were damaged in the Iranian missile attack on the country last night, according to the military.

All of the missile impacts in Israeli airbases are deemed by the IDF as "ineffective," meaning that no harm was caused to the continuous operations of the IAF.

The military reports no damage caused to fighter jets, drones, other aircraft, munitions, and critical infrastructure.

Highlighting the ineffectiveness of the Iranian attack, the military notes that the IAF continued its operations in the following hours, including major strikes against Hezbollah in Beirut, support for ground forces in southern Lebanon, and strikes in Gaza.

No major injuries were caused in the attack, with only two civilians lightly hurt by shrapnel.

The IDF says that it measures the effectiveness of an attack based on how much damage was caused to critical infrastructure and assets, and how many casualties were caused, and not how many missiles ultimately impacted. Air defenses successfully prevented such damage and major casualties.

The IAF is also readying for a response against Iran, per the instructions of the political echelon.

2. POWs captured in Kursk Oblast: 51st Guards Airborne Regt.
From its 1 Battalion, 2nd Company. He explains that he had a damaged knee from training, but at the front line he had to walk 6km, and during an action with a "Bradley", he was ordered to run but couldn't. Therefore he decided to surrender.
He asks to be exchanged for UAF POWs from the 140th Reconnaissance Battalion of the 36th Marine Brigade (they are separate units AFAIK).

🇷🇺🇺🇦 | Russian forces captured the Ukrainian city of Vuhledar, located in Donetsk Oblast of Ukraine.

The advance into the city was spearheaded by the elements of the 36th and 37th Separate Guards Motor Rifle Brigades from the Eastern Military District.

The city was held by the Ukrainian 72nd Separate Mechanized Brigade for over 2 years.

The Russians failed to capture Vuhledar during their costly offensive in Winter 2022-2023. Now, after weeks of heavy bombardment and steady advance on Ukrainian flanks, they were able to raise the Russian flag over the city.

On Wednesday, the Ukrainian side confirmed that Ukrainian troops have withdrawn from the city of Vuhledar.

Israeli Defense Forces acknowledged that IAF airbases were struck during the Iranian missile attack last night.

According to the IDF, the impacts damaged "office buildings and other maintenance areas in the bases that do not impact the IAF's functioning."

A tank battalion of the Belarusian Armed Forces was withdrawn from the area bordering Ukraine?

On October 1, a movement of a convoy of tanks was recorded in Minsk. The vehicles were moving from Aziaryshcha station to the fleet of the 120th Mechanized Brigade.

It should be noted that military cargo trains with equipment of the 120th Brigade are formed at the station.

Today, the Ministry of Defense of Belarus published a post about the transfer of military equipment to winter operation mode in the 120th Mechanized Brigade.

In the published photos, one can notice T-72B tanks equipped with anti-drone protection. Similar photos from the area bordering Ukraine were published earlier.

T-72B tanks are in service with the 355th Separate Tank Battalion of the 120th Mechanized Brigade (military unit 25853). On August 11, the battalion was redeployed to Homiel and Mazyr districts of Homiel region.

In the report on military activity for September 9-15, we assumed that in early October, the first rotation of units of the Belarusian Armed Forces, redeployed to Homiel region in August, would begin.

At the same time, we didn’t rule out the scenario that all units of the Belarusian Armed Forces (except for the Special Operations Forces) could be withdrawn to the permanent deployment points at any moment.

The 355th Tank Battalion became the first unit known to be withdrawn from the area bordering Ukraine. Now it’s unknown whether it’s a rotation (and another tank battalion was redeployed to the border) or the withdrawal of the battalion to the permanent deployment point.

Note that currently the 4th Tank Battalion of the 19th Mechanized Brigade is at the 333rd Combat Training Center in Russia.

With the withdrawal of the 355th Battalion to the permanent deployment point, the number of the group in Homiel region decreased by ~150 people.
