Video of a Russian VDV BMD-4M firing at Ukrainian positions in Obukhovka. It comes under artillery and FPV fire from Ukraine's 82nd Air Assault Brigade. The first FPV misses because it is jammed by EW but the 2nd and 3rd hit the vehicle, forcing the crew to abandon it. 278/

Since I see the Gripen issue brought up so many times and the misunderstanding about the spare parts, lets clarify some things.

Sweden are in the process of replacing 60 of their JAS 39 C/D with E variants. To be able to do this as cost effective as possible, the plan was to re-use parts from some of the C/D variants going out of commission. The info on the dates vary, but this is supposed to be done between 2025 and 2030. The goal is to build 60 E variant and at the end operate about 100. We operate about 100 now.

What Sweden now did was adding money for spare parts in to a UA aid package. This means we can use those spare parts instead of re-using parts from C/D variants which will me at the end of it all, we will have extra functioning air frames. In theory this could be 60 spare Gripens after building all 60 E variants (but I doubt it). There's also a possibility we want to keep more or the C/D operational. I think a number between 15 and 30 spare air...
