@ukraine_map @ghostofRoc @RoubleDestroyer: That PDA is also expiring in a month, Ukraine has the toughest situation they have ever had since 2022, and the PDA being send is the bare minimum, mainly ammo, and not even enough. They are spreading one year worth of PDA, like it’s +3 years. Ukraine needs more aid than ever now

@ghostofRoc @RoubleDestroyer: They requested $8 billion from Congress which was approved this year, they also had an unused $4 billion from the past at the start of 2024. They sent $2.6 billion the entire year of 2024, and in the past 3 months, sent $1 billion. They have in total around $9.1 billion remaining with the unused aid from before, the accounting error they claim.
Not only did they not request nearly enough PDA in that $8 billion from Congress, they should’ve requested at least $30 billion in PDA for a year for progress to be made in the war, but they are pledging it like they need 4 times less than they requested initially. They should be sending at least $1 billion in PDA for proper defense on some fronts, or at least $2 billion for defense and some type of offense.
Instead, they are sending $250 million a month, when they have as of today, the ability to pledge $750 million in PDA for 12 months straight before they run out and need to request more. It’s the lowest rate of aid in PDA per month Ukraine has ever received during the whole war, other than the months where Congress wasn’t approving the new request for aid. The Biden Administration has the ability to send 3 times more aid than they do now for a year, they have the ability to request more aid but they don’t, they have the ability to send needed equipment like Strykers, more air defenses, and lift restrictions but they don’t. This leads to severe shortages on the frontline of ammunition and all other equipment and Ukraine ends up losing land with their country being destroyed.

@ghostofRoc @RoubleDestroyer: It depends on how you look at it. It’s technically expiring in a month. They could technically use it after. Meaning they could be sending $750 million a month in PDA for a year before needing more but they send 3 times less. This will lead to Ukraine losing and fronts collapsing

@ukraine_map @ghostofRoc @RoubleDestroyer: It’s a problem one way or another. With and without expiration. There’s no excuse for sending $250 million in PDA a month when you have $9.1 billion currently available. They aren’t utilizing resources they have and are giving Ukraine the bare minimum for what they need to defend

@ghostofRoc @RoubleDestroyer: I am bringing up both perspectives. With and without it expiration, before in 2022 the Biden Administration let the aid expire and said they couldn’t use it and need more approved, then they changed their position on it. Then for 5 months with no aid they claims the previous aid was already expired. They are inconsistent in their positions, and regardless of if they are or not, it’s alarming both way you look at it.
My original point is even WITHOUT EXPIRATION, they could be sending $750 million per month for a year, and they are sending the bare minimum. There is no excuse for sending $250 million in PDA when they have $9.1 billion. That amount of aid will cause Ukraine to lose the war, and it is the lowest aid ever in the entire war other than the months aid wasn’t approved by Congress.
The expiration is a secondary point I am making because I have no clue how the White House will look at it. The aid in the bill expires in a month, but if the White House wants to ignore that then it’s up to them, or if they want to take their previous position and claim it expired. Regardless, they should never be sending only $250 million PDA per month instead they should be increasing it because Ukraine has a very bad situation on the battlefield

@ghostofRoc @RoubleDestroyer: Yes, that is 100% correct; they had $4 billion of PDA that they didn’t use. Initially, they claimed it had expired for the first couple of months, but then the Pentagon Spokesman and several news articles mentioned that $4 billion of PDA was left unused. They changed their position from having no aid to having no replenishment money but having $4 billion in PDA; when they did have $1 billion in replenishment. They could have sent those $4 billion in PDA without the need for immediate replenishment, which takes years anyway, but they decided not to. As you showed, they now claim that the PDA doesn’t expire this September and could be used in the future. That’s why I was pointing out with and without expiration because the White House has changed its position on that many times.
The reality is that they currently have $9.1 billion in PDA and have the full capability to send $750 million per month for 12 months or $1.5 billion per month for 6 months without running out. Yet they chose to send $250 million in a month now, dragging that $9.1 billion of PDA for 3 years, and by that time, the lines would collapse, and Ukraine would lose. Where is the plan for Ukraine to win? This rate of aid is disastrous and is one of the main reasons Ukraine is losing so much land and having its country destroyed.

@ukraine_map @ghostofRoc @RoubleDestroyer: Just one of the sources confirming ~$4 billion PDA, the Pentagon confirmed ~$4 billion in PDA several times after being called out on it. They had $1 billion in replenishment not none, then used the $1 billion later on other expenses while not pledging from the $4 billion of PDA.
