The Defense Ministry of Belarus plans to purchase a batch of FPV drones

According to our information, the Defense Ministry of Belarus is planning new purchases of UAVs for the needs of the army. By the end of 2024, the ministry plans to purchase 16 Chimera CX10 UAVs.

According to open sources, the Chimera CX10 is a 10-inch long-range FPV drone made by the Chinese iFlight company. It can reach speeds of up to 140 km/h and carry a payload of 1.5-2.5 kg. The maximum takeoff altitude is 6000 meters.

In the company’s official online store, one Chimera CX10 UAV costs $329,99. However, the Defense Ministry of Belarus plans to spend about BYN 460,000 ($8,951) per drone. The difference in prices may be due to 1) the purchase of additional components for the UAV (batteries, etc.); 2) corruption in the procurement process.
